Windows8 Changing My Documents Location

1. If you would like to change the default location for where your My Documents folder is kept, that is fairly easy to do. One reason I always change that is because I install the Operating System and Programs on a separate Partition or Drive. Then I can keep the My Documents folder always the same.
2. Start the Windows Explorer
3. On the left side, right click on Documents
4. Select Properties
5. This will bring up a similar screen
6. Click on the Add button
7. Browse to the location where you like your My Documents to be located.
8. In the following example, I added My Documents (D:)
9. My recommendation is to then remove the other locations.
10. Highlight the other locations and click on the Remove button
11. Then you will be left with just the location you want.
12. Click on the Apply button
