|The following page details the steps necessary to configure a VPN Server
VPN basically allows a remote computer to see the server as if it were on the same local network.
|1.||From the system tray icon, open the Network and Sharing Center|
|2.||Click on Change adapter settings|
|3.||Click on File / New Incoming Connection|
|4.||Select the users you want to be able to connect to the VPN server|
|6.||You can also Add someone at this point at well. Click on the Next button|
|7.||Check to connect Through the Internet|
|8.||Click on the Allow access button|
|9.||This will show the following window|
|10.||Now in the network connections window, you will have an Incoming Connections icon. From here you can view the settings and add users|
|11.||The VPN Server should also have a static LAN IP address assigned and have port 1723 mapped to that IP address if you are behind a router.|
