1. | With the new right click option in Windows 8.1 it is easier to add programs you would like to automatically start up after you log in |
2. | For example, I like to have Outlook start. |
3. | Go to the Start screen |
4. | Click on the down arrow to show all your applications |

5.. | Right click on the application you would like to have start automatically. In the following example, I selected Outlook |

6. | Select Open file location |
7. | This will bring up the location where the program is started. Again, in this example it is for Outlook |

8. | Right click and select Copy |
9. | On your computer, from the same Explorer window, go to:C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Where USERNAME is replaced by the name of the user that is logging in. |
10. | Then select Paste Shortcut |
11. | After that, the next time you log on, that program will start automatically. |
