VPN Server

The following page details the steps
necessary to configure a VPN Server
VPN basically allows a remote computer to see the server as if it were on
the same local network. |

From the system tray icon, open the Network and
Sharing Center |

Click on Change adapter settings |

Click on File / New Incoming Connection |
 |
| 4. |
Select the users you want to be able to connect to the
VPN server |

You can also Add someone at this point at well. Click
on the Next button |

Check to connect Through the Internet |

Click on the Allow access button |
 |

This will show the following window |
 |

Now in the network connections window, you will have
an Incoming Connections icon. From here you can view the settings and
add users |

The VPN Server should also have a static LAN IP
address assigned and have port 1723 mapped to that IP address if you are
behind a router. |
