Configuring Windows7 for a
Static LAN IP Address

There may be situations like Remote Access where you
need to configure the computer with a Static LAN IP address |

Go to the Control Panel / Network and Sharing Center |

| 3. |
On the right side, click on Local Area Connection |

 |

Click on the Properties button |
 |

5. |
Double Click on the Internet Protocol Version 4
(TCP/IPv4) |

Enter in all the unique IP information for your
computer. The following is only an example. |

Click on Ok, Ok and Close buttons |

If you are configuring the computer for things like
Remote Access, then you need to configure the port mapping on your
router |
|

The steps are different for each router but
basically you need to enter in the port and have it mapped to the static
IP address of the computer |
